Previous world number one Caroline Wozniacki kept up her strength over Croatia's Petra Martic on Saturday to move into the last of the Charleston Open where she will play Madison Keys.
Dane Wozniacki, appearing after an ongoing sickness, vanquished Martic 6-3 6-4 preceding American Keys turned back Monica Puig 6-4 6-0 out of a semi-last that was postponed for over an hour by downpour.
"I'm simply so excited to be sound, that is the primary concern," the fifth-seeded Wozniacki said in the wake of making her first last of the year. "It's been quite a while since I made this long kept running here," said the Dane who won the South Carolina competition in 2011.
The fifth seed broke Martic twice in the second set to guarantee the success and keep up her record of failing to have lost a set to Martic in six gatherings
