the President Donald Trump has said the US will cause "serious discipline" on Saudi Arabia if kingdom is observed to be in charge of the passing of columnist Jamal Khashoggi.
He said he would be "exceptionally vexed and irate if that were the situation", however precluded ending huge military contracts.
Mr Khashoggi, a pundit of the Saudi government, evaporated on 2 October in the wake of visiting its department in Istanbul.
Saudi Arabia rejected claims that it requested his executing as "lies".

In a meeting with CBS News, Mr Trump said that, assuming genuine, the way that a columnist was killed was "horrible and nauseating".
"We will get to its base and there will be serious discipline," he said.
In any case, he said that there were "different methods for rebuffing" than dropping military contracts, which powers like Russia and China were keen on.
"I would prefer not to hurt employments, I would prefer not to lose a request that way," Mr Trump said
